Recontent.
What, on earth, is REcontent?…
To be frank, I made it up… buuuuuut for a GREAT reason! đ
 RECONTENT = REPURPOSED CONTENT
Why, you ask?…
Hereâs what Chris Brogan told me he thought of content repurposing:
Iâm not into content repurposing. When I see it, it tells me that the person has very few ideas.
It means theyâre struggling to be creative and have enough varied and unique perspective to bring information to the world on a regular basis. Which means, to me, at least, that theyâre not the right person to follow.
Iâd rather follow people who go to sleep still STUFFED with ideas, and who are dying to share their take the next day and every day. Those are who I follow.
~ Chris Brogan
Iâll sum up what Chris is saying this way:Â people who repurpose content lack creativity and imagination.
Since thereâs so much confusion about the word ârepurposingâ, I propose we start with a clean slate.
(that’s where RECONTENT comes in!)
Repurposed content is currently referred to in many different ways:
- reformatted content
- reformed content
- relocated content
- restructured content
- regenerated content
- reworked content
- reimagined content
- reinvented content
- recycled content
- reused content
So… I’ve decided to repurpose the phrase âcontent repurposingâ into
 RECONTENT = REPURPOSED CONTENT
